In geologically explicit terms, this Chadron Hill or Chadron formation rock marks the line between the Great Plains during which alluvial materials created the Chadron Formation above and clay, and glacial deposits making up the Late Miocene of Early Pleistocene and both beneath our Neogen and Cemenoy Oregans period deposits respectively.
